Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at the University of Massachusetts. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including card access systems, security systems, and fire alarms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical principles and experience working with complex systems. They will be able to troubleshoot and repair issues efficiently, as well as provide excellent customer service to our campus community.

About the Role
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including card access systems, security systems, and fire alarms.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with electrical systems, using specialized testing and monitoring equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our campus community, responding to requests and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure smooth operation of our electrical systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with electrical systems, preferably in a maintenance or repair role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and experience working with complex systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
