Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrician II (Security Systems) to join our team at the University of Massachusetts. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems, including cameras, motion detectors, and alarm systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security systems and experience working with complex systems. They will be able to troubleshoot and repair issues efficiently, as well as provide excellent customer service to our campus community.

About the Role
  • Install, maintain, and repair security systems, including cameras, motion detectors, and alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with security systems, using specialized testing and monitoring equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our campus community, responding to requests and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure smooth operation of our security systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with security systems, preferably in a maintenance or repair role.
  • Strong understanding of security systems and experience working with complex systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
