Your Role:
As a Logistics Support Specialist, you will ensure the efficient management of incoming goods and supplies utilized in production. You will be responsible for documenting all relevant information regarding both incoming and outgoing shipments. Your role is crucial in guaranteeing the prompt dispatch of customer orders while maintaining precise records of all activities. You will also handle the return of incorrect or damaged shipments by completing the necessary documentation to validate the issues. Additionally, you will report defective materials, maintain a clean work area and equipment, and ensure that shipping materials are adequately stocked at all times.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison with drivers and vendors.
- Coordinate activities related to service orders and address customer complaints via telephone.
- Suggest corrective actions to resolve customer issues.
- Provide information regarding services offered.
- Assign loads to forklift operators and oversee pre-shift door inspections.
- Input data into the computer system to compile work volume statistics for accounting and maintain records of customer service inquiries.
- Establish work procedures, prepare schedules, and streamline workflow while ensuring the next shift has the necessary paperwork and correct trailers.
- Issue both written and verbal instructions to drivers and vendors.
- Analyze and standardize procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Schedule appointments for inbound and outbound shipments, manage driver check-ins, enter transactions into inventory software, and notify customers of any delays.
- Review scheduled deliveries and inform management when inventory levels fall below acceptable thresholds to meet customer demands.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
