We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder in Portland, ME. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles.
Responsibilities- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
- Perform standard component inspections and repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- Average weekly pay: $1212
- Hourly pay: $30.30 per hour
- Quarterly bonus: up to $500 every quarter
- Tool allowance: $450 per year
- On-the-job paid training
- Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits
- 12 weeks of paid maternity leave
- Paid time off starts accruing at day one
- Additional day off for U.S. military veterans
