Job Summary

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Cold Room (Day Room) and Vestibule, ensuring that product meets sizing specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs Cold Room and Vestibule operations and personnel, maintaining area support to achieve operational goals.
  • Performs line checks as required or requested, including tunnels and intermediate lengths, and ensures extra samples are taken for troubleshooting length problems.
  • Controls blending (dumping) of bulk product to ensure a continuous level of line flow, reducing bulk inventory and meeting quality specifications.
  • Ensures proper handling of all tote tickets, including bulk fill and bulk dump, and monitors generation of bulk product within specified parameters.
  • Inspects and monitors equipment operation, reporting any noises or conditions that could signal a breakdown to the appropriate personnel.
  • Able to work safely with and troubleshoot the Chopper, ensuring necessary communication with personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6+ months related experience and/or training.
  • Must possess and maintain current powered industrial truck certification (card) through the Moses Lake Plant.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and communicate materials in an efficient manner.
Abilities
  • Must have an acceptable safety record.
  • Must have an acceptable attendance record.
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
