Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CBIS Program Coordinator/Trainer to join our team at Big Bend Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and training CBIS programming, including DVR services through a DSHS contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee CBIS programming, including Pre-Educational Transition Services (Pre-ETS) DVR services.
  • Oversee CBIS program development, team participation, and collaboration, facilitation of trainings, tracking, contract management, class development in SMS, and oversee program invoicing.
  • Facilitate and arrange for trainings based on needs in the community.
  • Support CBIS team in grant management programs and contract trainings.
  • Outreach to regional DVR resources and other resource programming to assist in the delivery of Transitional Services to 9 school districts.
  • Collaborate with district high school administrations and faculty to strategize on transitional service initiatives.
  • Create and develop curriculum, coordinate presenters, and lead training for students participating in Pre-ETS Work Readiness programming.
  • Oversee, develop, and collaborate Pre-ETS Work Based Learning programs on and off the BBCC campus.
  • Monitor and guide contract compliance, including the maintenance of program records, including participation, instructional contracts, required participant registration and consent, DSHS contract needs, evaluation forms, program invoicing, reporting, and others as needed and/or requested.
  • Research and identify other resources and information in the area of Teen Worker Rules and DVR Initiatives, in order to provide continuous improvement and development in the area of DVR Transitional Services.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Previous experience presenting to small and large groups of individuals, including the development of presentation materials such as slides and handouts.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, in a professional setting.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Education from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Previous teaching and/or training experience.
  • Experience providing services to diverse populations.
  • Experience working with students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably.
  • Experience with budgeting, tracking, and monitoring revenue and expenses.
  • Bilingual fluency, especially in Spanish.
