KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate student capabilities and deliver instructional and behavioral support in alignment with their Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan as directed by the special education team. Support may be provided individually or in small groups.
- Commit to the holistic education of each student, addressing academic, moral, and social development.
- Implement a results-oriented curriculum tailored to meet the specific needs of students with disabilities, including resource room, inclusion, and pullout services.
- Participate in professional development, specialized training, and IEP meetings alongside the special education team and parents as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining compliance documentation as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must fulfill state criteria for Title 1 paraprofessionals.
- Ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
- Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities and behavior management is preferred.
- Proficiency in understanding and navigating technical systems.
