About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Multimodality Technician to join our team at Bon Secours. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a combination of imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Meet continuing education and clinical requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Operate equipment, accessories, and workflows for the assigned imaging modalities, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Obtain patient clinical history and lab work, documenting information for use by licensed practitioners.
  • Apply safety principles to minimize risk to patients, self, and others, and provide radiation protection and other necessary precautions.
  • Verify patient identification and procedure requests, and administer medications or contrast as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Perform venipuncture, including starting, maintaining, and removing intravenous access, as required by the assigned modalities.
Requirements
  • Certification and registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) are required.
  • Competence in two of the following modalities is required, with certification to be obtained within 12 months: Bone Densitometry, Breast Sonography, Radiologic Technology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Sonographer, Vascular Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Vascular Sonography, and Registered Vascular Technologist.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification is preferred, and state licensure is also preferred unless required by the state where the job is being performed.
  • An Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute or an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or an approved School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography is preferred.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
