Nurse Aide Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nurse Aide Faculty to join our team at the Community College of Philadelphia. As a Nurse Aide Faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Nurse Aide Training Program.
Job Summary:The Nurse Aide Faculty will be responsible for planning, developing, and revising the educational curriculum for the Nurse Aide Training Program to meet federal and state requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for teaching approved nurse aide curriculum, maintaining and updating student competency and skills demonstration paperwork, and providing leadership in formulating goals and objectives of the Nurse Aide Training Program.
Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, and revise the educational curriculum for the Nurse Aide Training Program to meet federal and state requirements.
- Teach approved nurse aide curriculum, including classroom and clinic instruction.
- Maintain and update all student competency and skills demonstration paperwork.
- Provide leadership in formulating goals and objectives of the Nurse Aide Training Program.
- Participate in annual on-site review process conducted by PDE.
- Demonstrate a sense of connection and responsibility for helping the College to achieve success through a commitment to its mission, vision, and values.
- Demonstrate appropriate use of existing technology to further learning for students.
- Communicate effectively, share vision, focus on people, initiate positive change, value differences, and foster collaboration.
- Establish an inclusive environment in the classroom.
- Manage the learning environment with a student-centered focus.
- Implement diverse teaching and learning strategies that accommodate the learning styles of students.
- Strive for excellence in teaching, applying best practices in the field of discipline, and modeling behaviors that encourage student success and retention.
- Associate degree required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN or LPN, with at least one year (2,000 hours) in a licensed long-term care facility.
- Pennsylvania Department of Education Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation (NATCEP) Teaching-the-Educator (TTE) certificate.
- Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) must be acceptable in accordance with P.L. 169 of 1997.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a NATCEP instructor preferred.
- Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations and addressing equity gaps.
- Demonstrated experience teaching within a community college.
- Bilingual or other language proficiency.
