Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Escrow Officer to join our team at Lennar Title. As a Commercial Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for preparing all documents associated with the processing and closing of escrow, conveyance of title, recording of documents, clearing of title requirements, and issuance of title insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare all documents associated with the processing and closing of escrow, conveyance of title, recording of documents, clearing of title requirements, and issuance of title insurance.
  • Develop and maintain business by utilizing marketing and customer service techniques.
  • Communicate with title examiners and underwriters to address attorney objection letters.
  • Communicate and coordinate daily responsibilities with the Branch or Escrow Manager.
  • Draw instructions and supporting documents for signing.
  • Audit and close files when all funds and documents are received.
  • Disburse funds.
  • Write escrow instructions consistent with the requirements of the parties and obtain their approval.
  • Estimate the amount of money required to close escrow and obtain buyers' and sellers' deposits.
  • Review commitment and/or preliminary title report to verify vesting and legal description.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between instructions and title report with title officer and/or principals.
  • Order beneficiary statements or demands, fire insurance, loan interest, rents, and other prorated items.
  • Direct and may participate in the preparation of settlement sheets.
  • Train, supervise, guide, and assign work to other associates in the office.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information and escrow transactions.
  • Understand and comply with escrow accounting procedures.
  • Understand and comply with Good Funds Law.
  • Solicit business in-person, development functions, or activities or virtually.
  • Prepare Account Servicing Setups, if applicable.
  • Know Rate Manual and quote accurate fees.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of Commercial Escrow Officer experience.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Notary license is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
