Job Title: Adult Congenital Heart Disease Cardiologist

At Virginia Commonwealth University, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated cardiologist to join our team in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology. Our world-class team is committed to providing exceptional cardiovascular care to our patients, while also advancing the field of adult congenital heart disease through research and education.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to adults with congenital heart disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of experts, including pediatric cardiologists, congenital and adult cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other specialists. The candidate will also participate in outreach clinics, research, and educational activities related to ACHD, such as publishing papers, presenting at conferences, teaching fellows and residents, and mentoring students.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to adults with congenital heart disease in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts to provide patient care
  • Participate in outreach clinics and research activities related to ACHD
  • Teach and mentor students, fellows, and residents
  • Develop and implement educational programs related to ACHD
Requirements:
  • Board certification in cardiology and adult congenital heart disease
  • Experience in clinical care, research, and teaching
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Virginia
