Job Description

The Home Care Director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of assigned group homes, ensuring the health, safety, and development of both residents and staff. This role requires excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals served.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Management: Oversee the daily operations of assigned group homes, ensuring overall health, safety, and development.
  • Relationship Building: Create meaningful relationships with individuals served and implement person-centered support plans.
  • Service Plan Implementation: Develop and implement individual service plans in collaboration with the team.
  • Supervision: Independently supervise all functions of the group home, including staff and residents.
  • Scheduling: Schedule staff shifts and approve earned time, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Community Engagement: Schedule and participate in various community outings with residents.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain group home facilities and perform necessary administrative tasks.
  • Transportation: Transport individuals served to appointments and community activities.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working with individuals with IDD preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills.
  • Flexibility: Must be flexible with hours and available on-call daily for assigned homes.
  • Requirements: Reliable transportation, valid Alabama driver's license, and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per yearBenefits:
