About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a highly skilled legal professional to join our Regulatory Affairs team. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective regulatory strategies, providing expert guidance on federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Regulatory Guidance: Provide authoritative advice on regulatory matters, including environmental, workplace health and safety, OSHA, and employment laws.
  2. Transaction Support: Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver legal guidance during investment, M&A, joint venture, and other strategic transactions, from due diligence to closing and integration.
  3. Corporate Governance: Document corporate actions, assist with entity management, and provide interpretations of organizational documents, supporting our corporate governance program.
  4. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts related to real estate, purchasing, construction, licenses, non-disclosure agreements, and professional services, aligning with Blue Origin's business operations.
  5. Customer-Facing Products: Develop relationships with business units, understand their goals, and advise on issues and risks, strategy, and agreement structures, providing legal support for customer-facing products.
  6. Process Improvement: Assist in developing scalable processes, programs, and tools to support efficient delivery of legal services within the Department.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. college or university and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 3+ years of legal experience with a corporation, law firm, or government entity.
  • Familiarity with export control regulations, U.S. government contracting, and large-scale project management.
  • Prior experience leading sophisticated projects involving multiple subject matter experts.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
