About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Midwestern Mechanical Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing HVAC systems, including pipes, fittings, and boilers for hydronic heating, furnaces, air conditioners, and roof top systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain pricing to customers and collect payment for services rendered.
  • Diagnose problems and failures in various HVAC systems or plumbing and gas systems.
  • Repair and install various types of piping, including iron, steel, copper, and PVC.
  • Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or problems.
  • Operate powered equipment, including hand tools, stationary machines, and others as required.
  • Make decisions by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.
  • Maintain a high quality initiative while completing assigned duties.
  • Provide daily direction to assigned apprentices on the job site and actively participate in their training and development.
  • Maintain a positive attitude to drive and build positive morale.
  • Work on call on a rotational basis.
Requirements
  • Competent, responsible, organized, and team-oriented.
  • Strong communication and average computer skills.
  • Strong basic math skills, architectural plans, drawings, and mechanical design.
  • Great mechanical skills and a willingness to learn new things.
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal to no supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and with others to meet performance goals.
