Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our Critical Care team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients, collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients.
  • Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care across acute and ambulatory settings.
  • Participate in the management of medical emergencies and adverse drug events.
  • Adhere to medication-use policies and guidelines, and manage time effectively to fulfill practice responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 2 years of practice experience.
  • PGY-2 in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine (preferred).
