About the Role:

Cassia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at Baptist Health & Rehab. As a key member of our senior care community, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance repairs and projects as needed.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs for major equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors to ensure contracted services are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Act as the Director of Safety, conducting regular safety meetings and interacting with health and safety inspectors to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Respond to facility emergencies on an on-call basis, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional service and support.
  • Perform heavy janitorial and maintenance tasks as needed, showcasing a willingness to get hands-on and contribute to the team's efforts.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management, requiring flexibility and a proactive approach.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of education in a relevant field, such as Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical Construction, Boiler Technician, or a similar discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare, multiple housing, or related facilities, with a strong understanding of the industry's unique challenges and opportunities.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results.
  • A valid driver's license, with a strong emphasis on safety and responsible driving practices.
  • Exceptional knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of state, federal, and OSHA regulations, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, family members, staff, corporate leadership, and external contractors.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and tasks, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, with a willingness to perform heavy janitorial and maintenance tasks as needed.
