Job Title: A/V Technician

TECHEAD is a leading provider of on-site audio visual services, and we're seeking a highly skilled A/V Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a talented A/V Technician to work with our team to deliver exceptional audio visual experiences for our clients. As an A/V Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating audio visual equipment, including digital audio mixers, powered speakers, and wireless microphones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate audio visual equipment for live events, including conferences, conventions, and live speech events.
  • Work with event coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements.
  • Route audio feeds to appropriate faders, buses/mixes, and sends.
  • Meet with event coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements.
  • Alter venue arrangements according to event requirements.
  • Edit recordings to event organizers' expectations.
  • Conduct audio, video, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
  • Operate audio and video equipment during live events.
  • Troubleshoot equipment.
  • Strike audio and video equipment and pack up after events.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of professional working experience with audio visual.
  • Experienced in operating digital audio mixers and wireless microphones.
  • Experience with digital audio.
  • 3-5 years of live production experience.
  • 1-3 years in post-production editing.
  • Working knowledge of video conferencing systems and platforms in a live production environment.
  • Working knowledge of PC's and basic understanding of network.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sound system design, Dual Channel FFT measurement, and Sound System Tuning.
  • Experience with Behringer X32, and Allen & Heath SQ consoles.
  • Experience with Shure wireless microphones and Wireless Workbench.
  • Experience with QSC Q-Sys.
  • Dante Certifications.
  • Basic audio editing skills in REAPER, Audacity, or similar digital audio workstation (DAW).
  • Basic video editing skills with Black Magic DaVinci Resolve or similar NLE.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, crouch, and typical physicality of an audio-visual technician.

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent travel throughout Virginia is required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree, preferably in a Communications field, Information Technology, or Live.
