Job Title: Mechanic III

Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a challenging role in the transportation industry? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanic III to join our team at Motor Coach Industries.

Job Summary:

The Mechanic III will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, drive line components, and electrical systems on our fleet of buses and coaches. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including minor and major overhauls
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on drive line components, such as transmissions, drive shafts, and differentials
  • Inspect and repair electrical systems and components, including high-voltage systems and battery packs
  • Assist with installations and repairs of seating, steering components, and glass
  • Work on electric buses, including maintaining and inspecting high-voltage systems and electric drivetrains
Requirements:
  • Technical expertise in diesel engines, driveline components, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency with diagnostic devices and shop tools
  • Certification in electric vehicle maintenance is a plus
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and effective use of personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hourly Rate: $43 - $45
