Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Process Chemist to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and commercializing new products, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate activities across R&D, Business, Purchasing, and Supply Chain functions on a global scale.

Responsibilities
  • Develop products and manufacturing processes from bench-scale studies with first-time manufacturing success.
  • Perform process conceptualization and techno-economic feasibility studies.
  • Develop fundamental correlations between process conditions and process chemistry.
  • Champion safe and efficient process research.
  • Support stage-gate processes to develop opportunities for product and process improvement.
  • Provide guidance for R&D during early product conceptualization to develop a testing plan consistent with the manufacturing process.
  • Assure complete ISO documentation is maintained on all ISO or quality-related activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (or other relevant science field).
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable process chemistry and/or engineering principles and application of those principles in a research and development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience directly related to applicable product or product category.
