Job Summary

The Veteran Resource Center Coordinator is a key position at the University of California, Riverside, responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Veterans Resource Center (VRC). This role serves as a liaison between student veterans, the Department of Veteran Affairs, and the College's academic divisions, counseling departments, and administrative offices to ensure the special needs of veterans and dependents are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advisory and other services for veterans and dependents, advancing knowledge of and awareness about UCR's diverse veteran community.
  • Develop new programming that addresses issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, working in conjunction with the Director and supervising Student Staff.
  • Supervise Student Staff, ensuring quality programming and collaborative partnerships across campus and the surrounding community.
  • Advocate for the well-being of students, with a specific focus on student veterans, and conduct outreach to surrounding military installations and community colleges.
  • Analyze problems/issues of diverse scope and determine solutions, using knowledge and skills as a seasoned, experienced Student Services professional.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have current work authorization and a strong background in advising and an in-depth understanding of the educational field in dealing with military-connected students. The Coordinator will possess broad job knowledge, analyze problems/issues of diverse scope, and determine solutions.

The full salary range for this position is $56,000 - $96,400 annually, with an expected pay scale of $56,000 - $68,100 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure, and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
