Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Manager II to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, regulatory compliance, and vendor management for all Hirsch Pipe & Supply Co. locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities for all company-owned buildings, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general upkeep.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers, particularly within plumbing and related services.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to maintain facility-related supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness for operational demands.
  • Ensure all facilities are compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly in relation to plumbing and hazardous materials.
  • Develop and manage the facility maintenance budget, optimizing cost-efficiency while ensuring high standards of maintenance.
  • Lead improvement projects, such as facility upgrades, energy efficiency initiatives, or plumbing system overhauls.
  • Implement and manage a preventative maintenance program for plumbing systems, machinery, and equipment across the facility.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response protocols related to building issues, including plumbing or infrastructure breakdowns.
Requirements
  • Must be eighteen years of age.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Physical.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Background Check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License (Enforced for at least 2 years).
  • Clean DMV record (no more than 2 points in the previous 6 years).
  • Ability to travel to all HPS locations with occasional overnight stays.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • One to three years related work experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role, preferably in a wholesale or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and familiarity with wholesale operations.
  • Excellent understanding of building maintenance processes, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and reduce operational costs while maintaining a high standard of facility care.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in a warehouse or wholesale environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with facility management software is a plus.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Project, Word, PPT, OUTLOOK, and EXCEL.
  • Certifications: Licensed contractor preferred (B, C5, C10, C33, C36, or similar). Experience may be a substitute for licensing.
