About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at JBT Corporation. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for working with project managers and technical teams to ensure that the solution architected, designed, and installed meets the customer's requirements from initial startup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the application and sales process, including technical sections of proposals and managing proposal templates.
  • Develop and refine the road system and operation needed to meet performance requirements, and assist in defining system performance capabilities.

  • Perform overall application risk scoring, and liaise with customers on technical solutions, data mining, and KPIs related to system performance.
  • Engage customers on potential risks and generate risk assessments, and monitor and validate risk mitigations are performed according to project requirements.
  • Attend project meetings as needed, with a focus on overall System Design Performance, and evaluate throughput, layout, and simulation inputs.
  • Evaluate technical requirements for projects, including load handling clearances and tolerance analysis, and develop a customer dashboard to track project progress against KPIs.
  • Review reports to ensure projects are meeting expectations, and work with the test department to develop vehicle test plans for all applications, sensors, technologies, etc.
  • Work with the project team to identify performance trends, and track internal and external KPIs to ensure projects are on track technically.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Engineering Discipline.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, and AutoCAD, and data-driven with the ability to analyze trends using excel or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while working on multiple projects simultaneously, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of project ownership, and passionate about machine and systems optimization.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, field, or software engineering in the automation industry.
  • 25% domestic and international travel, including Kingston, NY for FATs.
