About the Role

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Telemetry Renal team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct, evidence-based care to patients in the telemetry renal unit, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Assist with procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed, utilizing your skills and expertise to provide optimal patient care.
  • Perform lab and procedural tests within your scope of practice, after demonstrating competency and adhering to established protocols.
  • Document patient care in a timely and thorough manner, maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and interventions.
  • Collaborate with department staff, students, and volunteers to promote a culture of quality patient care and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Louisiana.
  • Vocational school graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Shift: Nights, rotating weekends.
