The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in the Telemetry Renal Unit at Rapides Regional Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct, evidence-based care to patients, collaborating with the RN and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing lab and procedural tests, and documenting patient information in the medical record.
- Assist with procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed by the RN or physician.
- Serve as a resource to department staff, students, and volunteers to promote quality patient care.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure in the state of Louisiana.
- Vocational School Graduate.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Shift: Nights, rotating weekends.
