JobWebKenya is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Petroleum Inspection Engineer. We are recognized as a leading entity in the field of inspection, verification, testing, and certification.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection and Auditing:
Conduct thorough inspections and technical audits for petroleum retail stations as assigned, adhering to the client's Terms of Reference (ToR).
Performance Targets:
Execute technical audits at a minimum of five petroleum retail stations weekly, or as required, to achieve cumulative quarterly and annual objectives.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports for all audited retail stations, following the established checklist and reporting format.
Standards Compliance:
Familiarize yourself with the governing standards outlined in the primary responsibilities section.
Work Planning:
Create a smart work plan tailored to specific regions under inspection to meet quarterly targets.
Performance Improvement:
Identify and report on areas for improvement to enhance project execution and performance.
Scheduling:
Develop and submit a weekly schedule to the Project Coordinator, including journey management plans.
Communication:
Maintain daily communication and report on activities and developments to the Project Coordinator.
Travel:
Drive to and from inspection locations, except for regions designated for air travel.
Asset Management:
Ensure timely service and maintenance of company vehicles, along with proper management of company assets and finances.
Operational Integrity:
Adhere to SGS Operational Integrity requirements and meet key performance indicators.
Additional Tasks:
Perform any other duties assigned to ensure the successful operation of the company.
Qualifications
Degree:
Bachelor of Science in any Engineering Discipline recognized by the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) and the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
Registration:
Registered as a graduate engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in petroleum operations, infrastructure design, construction, maintenance, or technical services/inspections.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with Kenyan regulations governing the operation of petroleum retail outlets.
Driving License:
A valid driving license is required.
Language Proficiency:
Proficient in both written and verbal English.
Willingness to Travel:
Must be open to deployment in various regions across the country beyond normal residence.
