Job Overview

We are looking for a healthcare provider who can work on a PRN basis, delivering high-quality evaluations in their own office space or our leased facilities. As a Medical Examiner, you will be responsible for performing one-time, interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform one-time, interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Utilize a Goniometer for musculoskeletal assessments.
  • Complete standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for each evaluation within 48 hours.
  • Conduct METs testing and assess respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Review medical records and provide follow-up administrative work as needed, including addendums and medical opinions.
  • Submit reports via secure provider portal.

Coverage Options

You have the flexibility to choose how you want to work:

  • Travel to VES-leased facilities.
  • Schedule and perform exams within your own office location.
Scheduling Details

We offer flexible scheduling for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts:

  • Uvalde requires 10 days per month (multiple providers can apply).
  • Fort Davis requires 1 day per week.
Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Proficient in METs testing and using a Goniometer.
  • Ability to obtain DMA certification (training provided; CME credits available).
  • Own a personal laptop (Windows only; no Mac devices).
  • Record review and independent documentation experience preferred.
