At Lowe's, every associate is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring a store environment that is organized, secure, and well-stocked with essential products.


As a Customer Engagement Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers warmly and professionally, assisting them with their home improvement inquiries.
  • Verifying loading tickets and accurately processing orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of merchandise.
  • Promoting safe work practices and encouraging colleagues to prioritize safety.
This role is pivotal in shaping the customer experience at Lowe's.

You will assist customers in selecting the appropriate products, ensuring accurate quotes, confirming correct pricing, and addressing all customer inquiries.

Additionally, you will provide outstanding service by actively listening to customers, utilizing your expertise to guide them, and assisting with loading merchandise.

It is essential to remain vigilant and report any safety or security issues in the store's vicinity.
The responsibilities of the Customer Engagement Specialist may vary based on the department supported.

Customer Engagement Specialists may work in various areas including:
Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.

Applicants for the Customer Engagement Specialist position may be considered for any of these departments based on hiring needs and individual skill sets.


Travel Requirements:

This position does not typically require regular travel; however, occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, training sessions, or to assist nearby stores.

What We Seek

  • Full Time or Part Time availability

Part Time:

Generally scheduled for 39 to 40 hours or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; additional hours may be required based on store needs.


  • Availability for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts any day of the week.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for job duties.
  • Individuals assigned to the Greeter departments (available in select locations) must be able to lift 10 pounds without assistance; may lift over 10 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Individuals assigned to all other departments (excluding Greeter departments) must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.
What You Need To Succeed
Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • 6 months of experience with common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of sales experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
  • 6 months of retail experience providing customer service, including identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in locating products, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and expressing gratitude for their business.
  • Bi-lingual skills, if applicable to the store.
  • Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).

Compensation:
