The position of Fleet Equipment Maintenance Technician at US Foods, Inc. is an exciting opportunity for a skilled diesel mechanic to join our team.

About the Role

This role requires a strong understanding of diesel-powered fleet equipment, including tractors and trailers. As a Fleet Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety on the road.

Key duties include ensuring compliance with trucking regulations, maintaining repair and maintenance logs, and performing road service as needed. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience
  • OR 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification

You should also possess excellent communication skills, be able to read and understand technical and service manuals, and have the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
