Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fleet road equipment? We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with trucking regulations, documenting maintenance logs, and performing road service calls as needed. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our fleet's vehicles and equipment.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $32 per hour, plus a $10,000 retention bonus. Additionally, you will receive an annual tool allowance and benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, rebuilding, replacing, and completing all required repairs on diesel equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance within company standards.
  • Documenting all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
  • Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic or reefer experience, or 2 years of Diesel Mechanic exp with TK or Refrigeration certification.
  • Prior experience in administering appropriate PM programs.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet, ability to read and understand technical and service manuals, excellent communication skills, and ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
