MedPOINT Management - Financial Analyst

The estimated salary for this role is around $90,000 per year.

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team at MedPOINT Management. As an integral part of our Finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, accounting, and planning/forecasting support to our leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Obtaining and reviewing Capitation detail and summary reports monthly
  • Running paid claims reports monthly and/or quarterly to calculate claims cost
  • Running lag report for claims paid and received
  • Updating IBNR Model
  • Calculating IBNR using Lag reports and/or other appropriate methodologies
  • Performing monthly accounting close procedures and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing Financial Performance summaries by Health Plan
  • Preparing Financial Performance summary with combined Health Plans
  • Preparing Capitation summary by Health Plan
  • Preparing Report of claims by type of service
  • Preparing report of claims by month of service
  • Distributing reports to IPA Client and MSO Financial Manager

You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Additionally, you should have 3+ years of Physician Organization or Health Plan, Hospital Finance and/or Health Plan experience.

A strong understanding of Excel (VBA's, macros, Pivot tables, vlookup, hlookup), Power Point, and MS Access is required. You must also possess excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work accurately, meet deadlines, and provide effective reporting.
