Product Design Engineer Job Description

Flowco Production Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative equipment for our Gas Lift, Completions, Capillary, and Downhole Gauge Product Lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize equipment designs using CAD software and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Apply API, US, Canadian, and European design and safety standards to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to develop new products and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform lab tests to validate designs and provide technical support to clients and vendors
  • Work with clients and vendors to provide engineering support and resolve issues
  • Understand and comply with Flowco Production Solutions' Quality Policies and safety rules
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university
  • 3-5 years of experience in Research & Development and/or design of mechanical equipment, preferably in the oilfield industry
  • Strong understanding of Solidworks and CAD software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Growth-oriented individual with EIT, PE, or PMP certification
  • Experience with oilfield operations and artificial lift systems
  • Knowledge of various welding and machining methods
  • Experience working in field operations providing failure analysis, technical support, or field trials
  • Experience with SYSPRO ERP system
  • Multi-lingual
