We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Options Behavioral Health System. As a Nurse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure that all patients' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs are met.
- Enforce and interpret policies for the delivery of patient and resident care.
- Ensure proper staffing for each unit, maintaining staff ratio, and covering call-offs and vacation time.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure chart checks, seclusion/restraint logs, and nursing assessments are up to date.
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in orienting and ensuring staff competence in performing required duties.
- Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding patient safety.
- Coordinate all care rendered to patients, including physician orders and diagnostic information.
- Document medical, behavioral health information, and nursing care.
- Administer medications and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Lead on shift for all admissions and discharges, informing physicians of changes in patients' conditions.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Three or more years of experience in nursing practice.
- One or more years of experience in med/surg nursing preferred.
- One or more years of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
- One or more years of experience in a supervisory or charge position preferred.
- Current RN license as required by state.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
