Job Title: RN Weekend Supervisor

Recovery Centers of America is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Weekend Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and services.

Job Summary:

The RN Weekend Supervisor will work closely with the Director of Nursing to improve patient care and services provided by the nursing team. This role involves overseeing the nursing team, ensuring quality customer service, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and the training department to hire and train nursing staff.
  • Conduct nursing rounds on all units multiple times throughout the shift.
  • Directly supervise nursing staff by monitoring medication distribution, blood draws, and other patient care elements.
  • Assist the DON in developing, implementing, and evaluating facility policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update auditing, compliance, and legal documentation.
  • Plan and implement staff meetings and training seminars.
  • Monitor nursing team work schedules.
  • Direct patient care as dictated by patient needs and staffing schedules.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from a qualified nursing school and equivalent experience.
  • State Registered Nursing license required.
  • 4 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, detoxification processes, addiction, co-occurring disorders, DSM criteria, and terminology.
  • Strong leadership qualities and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Hires, trains, directs, and evaluates nursing staff.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and proprietary facility systems.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, with moderate noise levels.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
