Description
TriMet is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our IT Infrastructure and Operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a dynamic team responsible for managing our enterprise-wide technology framework, which includes data centers, extensive networks, and hybrid systems. Your leadership will be crucial in elevating our operations to new heights of efficiency and performance.
As the Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations, you will collaborate closely with the CIO and other senior leaders, guiding a team of skilled professionals in the management of servers, networks, storage solutions, and endpoints, as well as Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services.

Your role will involve articulating a compelling vision and leading the organization towards its realization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that infrastructure services are effective, robust, and resilient. Lead the Infrastructure and Operations teams responsible for managing enterprise server and storage environments, email services, backups, desktop equipment, mobile devices, and networking infrastructure.
2. Stay informed about the progress and challenges of IT projects throughout their lifecycle.
3. Assess new technologies and methodologies to ensure alignment with industry best practices in technology infrastructure and information security.
4. Guarantee that infrastructure is properly designed and sized for reliable performance, including failover and recovery systems, monitoring programs, and inventory management.
5. Manage departmental budgets and operational forecasts, including capital expenditures and resource allocation, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
6. Provide leadership in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff, promoting exemplary customer service and professional development.
7. Represent IT Operations and Infrastructure on various boards and committees.
8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Eight years of relevant experience in network or systems management within a corporate environment, including three years in a managerial role.
A valid driver's license is required.
