Logistics Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to lead our global logistics strategy and drive world-class customer order delivery times. This individual will be responsible for overseeing worldwide logistics and inventory operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with trading partners to develop innovative solutions for optimizing logistics and warehousing strategies and operations.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to establish contracts across multiple logistics modes, meeting price, quality, and service level targets.
  • Manage trade broker activities and provide guidance on tax and trade implications.
  • Determine regional warehouse strategies and establish in-house warehousing capabilities, designing optimal warehouse operations and personnel.
  • Manage the logistics team's activities, establish task priorities, schedule and track work assignments, provide guidance, and ensure resource availability.
  • Delight customers with exceptional service and visibility, synchronizing across functional groups to gather requirements and execute flawlessly.
  • Establish repeatable and scalable practices to support company growth, imaginatively addressing assignments of all complexity levels.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of global logistics experience with proficiency in supply chain concepts, including logistics and inventory impacts on other business functions.
  • Direct experience leading warehouse activities and personnel.
  • Microsoft Excel power user.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar tools preferred.
  • Dedication to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
