Job Title: Design Engineer

At Sterling Engineering, we are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom Cast-in heaters and heating elements for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Cast-in heaters and heating elements based on customer requirements and/or drawings
  • Create manufacturing drawings and release orders into production
  • Resolve production issues and challenges
  • Simulate Casting process using simulation software
  • Create CNC programs using CAD/CAM software
  • Maintain files and drawings of all designs to meet ISO 9001:2015 requirements
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales team
  • Assist customers with new projects and calculations
  • Evaluate customer returns as required
  • Research raw material and maintain drawings and specifications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree required with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Working knowledge of 2D software and Microsoft Office required
  • 3-D Modeling experience using Solid Works software required
  • Knowledge of Casting and Machining operations required
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices preferred
