The Front Climbing Club stands as Utah's pioneering indoor rock climbing facility and is among the first in the country. Our lifestyle gyms encompass Cafes, Yoga, Group fitness, and inviting recreational spaces. You will also collaborate with our sister entity, Vertical Solutions.

Vertical Solutions is recognized as the largest domestic climbing wall manufacturer, providing everything necessary to elevate climbers - including walls, holds, and pads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting functions, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger upkeep.
  • Prepare financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and accuracy.
  • Evaluate financial data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for cost efficiency and revenue enhancement.
  • Support the formulation and execution of financial policies, procedures, and controls tailored to the specific requirements of a start-up.
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and provide recommendations for optimizing financial resources.
  • Prepare tax submissions, ensuring adherence to applicable tax regulations.
  • Assist in financial analysis and reporting to facilitate strategic decision-making for stakeholders.
  • Calculate and document depreciation.
  • Ensure compliance across multiple states, including sales tax obligations.
  • Conduct annual and quarterly planning sessions.
  • Perform Job Costing analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as an Accountant or Staff Accountant, ideally within a start-up or entrepreneurial context.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP).
  • Proficient in accounting software and advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide strategic financial advice and support to business leaders.
  • High standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience working in a collaborative office environment.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $55,000-60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
