The B2B and Operations team provides services, solutions, and support to a diverse range of customers, including financial institutions, corporations, universities, government agencies, executives, and business professionals.

About the Role

The Account Executive (AE) plays a crucial role in managing a book of business and prospecting for new opportunities. This involves building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new business prospects. The AE is responsible for retaining and growing existing contract revenue within their assigned customer base, which typically consists of 30-40 companies depending on geography and industry sectors covered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retain existing contract revenue and grow it through effective relationship management and upselling/cross-selling opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new business prospects through territory analysis and development of a sales strategy
  • Maintain good levels of customer satisfaction through regular communication and issue resolution
  • Develop and execute plans to manage account renewals, ensuring timely communication and fulfillment of contractual obligations
  • Build and maintain solid working relationships with each customer, understanding their businesses and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure appropriate levels of customer training and awareness are provided through personal efforts and collaboration with the Account Development Team
Requirements
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to develop and implement effective systems for managing administrative tasks and tracking progress against activity goals
  • Results-oriented with a commitment to achieving new business targets in a demanding and competitive environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and customers to maximize time for revenue-retaining activities and deliver exceptional account management to key customers
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate the Dow Jones value proposition, present persuasive business cases, and convey a professional image
  • Negotiation and closing skills to manage renewals successfully
  • A proven track record of at least 5 years selling information to large enterprise accounts (Fortune 1000s)

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $95,000 - $120,000, reflecting our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent based on industry standards, location, and individual qualifications.
