Job Summary

This is a safety-sensitive position that involves receiving, storing, recycling, shipping, and transporting warehoused goods and products. The Equipment Operator will perform various duties, including operating motorized equipment, utilizing RF equipment to track product, disassembling, reassembling, or repairing products, materials, or equipment, and sorting, baling, weighing, loading, and recycling materials based on customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Motorized Equipment: The Equipment Operator will operate various types of motorized equipment, including forklifts, clamps, cherry-pickers, and motorized pallet jacks, to move goods and products within the warehouse.
  • Utilize RF Equipment: The Equipment Operator will use RF equipment to track product movement and location within the warehouse.
  • Disassemble, Reassemble, or Repair Products: The Equipment Operator will disassemble, reassemble, or repair products, materials, or equipment as needed to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Sort, Bale, Weigh, Load, and Recycle Materials: The Equipment Operator will sort, bale, weigh, load, and recycle materials based on customer specifications to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: The Equipment Operator should have a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of related experience. Sufficient formal education to read, comprehend, and act upon verbal and written information is required.
  • Skills and Abilities: The Equipment Operator should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have the ability to comply with YLA Core Competencies: Problem Solving & Decision Making, Accountability & Responsibility, Communication, Collaboration & Teamwork, and Customer Focus.
