Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered Nurse Practitioner (NP) to enhance our team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will engage in direct patient care, addressing patient symptoms and concerns, and conducting comprehensive examinations to identify medical issues. You will be responsible for prescribing medications or developing treatment plans as needed, as well as administering treatments and monitoring patient progress over time.
Your responsibilities will also include documenting patient medical histories, performing physical assessments, conducting diagnostic tests, and formulating patient care strategies. Collaboration with physicians will be essential for managing more complex health conditions.
To excel in this role, you should demonstrate empathy, decisiveness, and a keen attention to detail. A successful nurse practitioner will also possess cultural competence and outstanding teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical assessments and screenings of patients.
- Document patient medical histories and symptoms accurately.
- Facilitate consultations for new patients and review health histories.
- Develop and contribute to patient care plans.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work.
- Analyze test results to diagnose health issues.
- Advise on further treatment options or schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
- Monitor and utilize medical equipment effectively.
- Administer medications and other therapeutic interventions.
- Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Identify changes in patient health and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Offer aftercare and ongoing support information to patients and their families.
- Consult with healthcare teams and family members.
- Educate patients and their families on managing and preventing health issues.
- Ensure patient records are maintained accurately, including test results and immunizations.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Current certifications as required by the facility.
- Prescriptive authority.
- Experience in providing primary care as a family nurse practitioner.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical data management.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team of healthcare providers.
- Proficient in EHR charting and medical data management systems.
- Understanding of relevant federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledgeable in disease prevention strategies.
