Position Overview

Organization: Buckner Retirement Services

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care in our senior living community. This role involves executing the objectives of our nursing services and ensuring the well-being of our residents through effective care management and direct nursing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and adhere to individual health care plans, administering treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, state laws, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough rounds of all residents, collaborating with physicians and accurately documenting visits.
  • Administer injections and perform necessary health assessments, including vital sign monitoring.
  • Maintain and update health care plans, documenting any significant changes in resident conditions.
  • Oversee the work of nursing aides, assigning tasks and ensuring quality care delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a valid Texas nursing license.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and residents as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Adherence to the practice standards set by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
