Hydraulic systems are integral to the operation and movement of our BCP earthmoving machinery, playing a crucial role in our customers' productivity. As a member of the Hydraulic Component Team, you will cultivate relationships with suppliers and collaborate with fellow Caterpillar professionals to deliver hydraulic solutions across all BCP product lines. You will gain in-depth knowledge of various hydraulic components and circuits utilized in Cat machines. Your role will involve tackling complex technical challenges while enhancing your analytical skills and engineering expertise. Initially, your focus will be on Main Control Valves, Hand Metering Units, and Hydraulic Swivels, with opportunities to expand into additional hydraulic components. Your experiences will encompass machine operation, international collaboration, problem-solving, and technical teamwork aimed at improving machine performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Innovate and develop new hydraulic systems and component solutions.

+ Create original and innovative engineering designs, focusing on cost efficiency and problem resolution.

+ Collaborate with hydraulic component suppliers to understand their designs, manufacturing processes, and applications.

+ Supervise the creation and release of engineering drawings for the hydraulic components under your purview.

+ Maintain CAD models for hydraulic components (utilizing Creo).

+ Investigate and implement new technologies.

+ Advocate for quality and a culture of continuous improvement.

+ Expand your knowledge of Caterpillar's products, technologies, processes, services, and systems.

Qualifications:

+ Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field, with extensive experience in off-highway mobile hydraulics.

+ Product Development: Familiarity with off-highway construction machinery and the capability to design and develop new products from concept to production.

+ Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide solutions for significant technical challenges related to quality, efficiency, and cost objectives.

+ Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and build trust with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, suppliers, and leadership.
