We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a school district in Oakland, CA.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions, to promote skill development and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to student care.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate and involve parents in the therapy process to support carryover of skills at home.
- Valid California OT licensure.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt and customize therapy techniques based on individual student needs.
