Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our Allergy Care team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clinicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing and administrative support to clinicians and other healthcare team members to offer a variety of health care services to patients.
  • Perform clinical tasks and procedures under the direction of a clinician, within the scope of the LPN's professional training and individual competency.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, or modification of the individualized patient's plan of care under the direction of the RN/clinician.
  • Utilize standardized tools to identify and address health maintenance/care gaps with patients and alert clinicians on those that require their attention.
  • Provide health teaching/education or advice on routine or self-limiting medical conditions, procedures, tests, surgeries, self-injections, etc.
  • Use KP HealthConnect and other information systems to document all pertinent data and outcomes of nursing care according to standardized procedures and policies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Practical Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire or Compact License: Practical Nurse within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support.
  • Demonstrated clinical nursing skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, communication (written and oral) skills, literacy in using computers and keyboarding, problem-solving, setting priorities, and using good judgment for decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2+) years of nursing experience in assigned departments clinical area within an ambulatory care setting.
  • IV therapy experience or recent certification.
  • Familiarity in documenting in an electronic medical record system.

Travel between TUA, CIN, NLR.
