Medical Policy Research Analyst Internship

Cambia Health Solutions, Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Policy Research Analyst Intern to join our team. As a Medical Policy Research Analyst Intern, you will play a critical role in identifying, appraising, and summarizing scientific literature and clinical practice guidelines for the development and implementation of medical policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive literature searches and critically appraise scientific literature and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Develop and summarize research findings to inform medical policy decisions.
  • Present research and policy recommendations to the Medical Policy Workgroup for approval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful medical policy implementation and maintenance processes.
  • Participate in Medical Policy team meetings and issue forums.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in Public Health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or other closely related field.
  • Familiarity with anatomy and physiology/disease processes; clinical research methods; medical terminology; and interpretation and application of medical policies.
  • Knowledge of techniques for conducting literature searches, analyzing and interpreting scientific medical literature for quality of study design and reliability of data.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and self-motivation to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, problem resolution, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new technology quickly and effectively.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average in the current program.
