As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under limited/moderate supervision, you will be responsible for making periodic tours of premises and grounds to ensure that they are properly secured and protected from damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and illegal entry.
  • You will apply de-escalation tactics in working with high-risk patients, ensuring their safety and the safety of others, and participate in care plans for high-risk individuals.
  • You will use preventative patrol and loss prevention techniques to investigate incidents, collect data, and report security, safety, and fire hazards.
  • You will investigate disturbances, serve as a liaison with law enforcement, and maintain order and safety of personnel in emergency situations.
  • You will maintain a daily log and ensure the security equipment is functioning properly.
  • You will direct patrons or employees and answer questions related to the location of our services.
  • You may monitor patient, visitor, and employee parking, enforce parking regulations, and issue parking citations when necessary.
  • You will handle moderately complex issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • You will possess a solid working knowledge of the subject matter and may provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate groups.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license in the state of practice and proof of driver's insurance
