Position Overview:

T.Y. Lin International is a comprehensive engineering organization dedicated to the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients globally. With over 65 years of experience, our firm is recognized internationally for tackling the most complex engineering challenges. We have a workforce of more than 3,200 professionals spread across the Americas, Asia, and Europe.

We are currently looking for a Lead Bridge Engineer to join our Northern California team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering design, analysis, and calculations at a senior level.
  • Oversee and guide junior engineers in their professional development.
  • Manage all technical analyses, documentation, and client interactions in accordance with our quality assurance and control standards.
  • Seek collaborative opportunities with other engineering and planning firms for new project bids.
  • Prepare project budgets and define scopes of work.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of projects under your leadership.
  • Adhere to relevant codes and standards throughout project execution.
  • Engage in strategic planning initiatives within the company.
  • Participate in business development activities to pursue bridge project opportunities.
  • Undertake additional assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design and a Professional Engineering license are essential.
  • A Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • Experience as a Bridge Task Lead on larger projects is necessary.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading technical aspects of bridge projects, including report writing and specifications.
  • Experience in managing bridge projects effectively.
  • Background in proposal writing is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and bridge engineering software is required.
  • Must meet continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive engineering reports.
  • Client-focused approach, dedicated to providing optimal solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation, seeking new and improved methods to address client challenges.
  • High ethical standards, ensuring integrity and fairness in all dealings.
  • Proven experience in collaborating within a diverse and inclusive team environment.
  • Familiarity with California local and state procedures is strongly preferred.
