Job Overview and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Supervising Workers' Compensation Compliance Officer within the Medical Provider Network (MPN), the Workers' Compensation Consultant is responsible for evaluating and endorsing MPN proposals submitted by healthcare providers. This role ensures that the treatment plans for employees injured on the job adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

This position may also be utilized to fill upcoming job openings in accordance with established regulations.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Workers' Compensation Consultant (WCC) position, candidates must be reachable on an employment list, possess transfer eligibility, or have reinstatement eligibility. For those interested in taking the examination to gain employment list eligibility, further details can be found in the exam bulletin.

Consideration will also be given to candidates for the Workers' Compensation Assistant role.

The Staff Services Analyst classification is designated for this position. If you hold list eligibility as a Staff Services Analyst, you may be hired as a Workers' Compensation Assistant. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for both classifications.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting, where the incumbent will work a standard 40-hour week. The workspace is equipped with standard office tools and features climate control in a modern high-rise building.
