Job Overview

Role & Responsibilities in Food Safety:

The selected candidate will be expected to comprehend the Food Safety Statement, complete all necessary training, execute work tasks in alignment with the training, and demonstrate a satisfactory level of proficiency with all Quality Assurance, Safety, and Security policies and training mandates. Training areas will encompass, but are not limited to, GMP, HACCP, facility security, visitor protocols, and obligatory safety training.


Position Summary:

The Production Manager will oversee all facets of production operations, specifically in Salad, Healthy Snacking, and Bowls, with a strong emphasis on workplace and food safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all predetermined KPIs are achieved or surpassed.
  • Monitor the competencies of supervisors, providing guidance and development as necessary to meet company goals.
  • Analyze daily manufacturing reports to identify trends.
  • Interpret and report on production budgets, P&L, labor costs, and variances from standards.
  • Possess a solid understanding of food processing, sanitation, safety, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Drive continuous process enhancement.
  • Guarantee the fulfillment of the daily production schedule.
  • Assist in the introduction of new products and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA, EPA, and FDA regulations within the manufacturing facility.
  • Establish and uphold performance standards for the manufacturing team.
  • Support new product initiatives by allocating sufficient manufacturing resources.
  • Direct all production activities related to R&D.
  • Engage operational supervisors in sustaining the company strategy.
  • Foster a culture of empowerment and engagement among the workforce.
  • Communicate successes and effectively inform the workforce of potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with network peers to identify, create, and promote service and cost efficiency improvements.
  • Actively participate in the MRP group to plan manufacturing production for optimal order fulfillment.
  • Manage accident reporting and adhere to safety reporting procedures.
  • Conduct follow-ups on corrective actions and assess their effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field in Food Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to translate complex assignments into actionable tasks.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication across the organization.
  • Robust technical understanding of manufacturing process flows.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training in process improvement and leadership with proven success.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish, English/Vietnamese, or English/French) are preferred.
  • Familiarity with FSSC 22000 standards.
