About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Retention Specialist to join our team at ThedaCare. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a critical role in identifying and retaining top nursing talent for our health system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workforce Planning and Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze data related to nurse turnover and retention to inform workforce planning and development strategies.
  • Employee Engagement and Onboarding
    • Serve as an employee ambassador to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring a welcoming and thorough onboarding process that incorporates our organization's culture.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Function as a leader, mentor, educator, consultant, and coach to the nursing workforce, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their careers.
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Coordinate, plan, implement, and evaluate the ThedaCare and Mentoring Program to support the development of our nursing workforce.
  • Research and Innovation
    • Facilitate evidence-based practice (EBP) and research projects to foster resiliency and professional growth of the new nursing workforce.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on nursing retention and recruitment.
  • Certifications and Licensure
    • Current Wisconsin RN licensure and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Environment

This role will be based in a climate-controlled office environment, with frequent sitting and movement throughout the office space. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
